Too many talented people are being underestimated because of what people find on their website.
You’ve spent years building your expertise, refining your offer, and earning the trust of the people who refer clients your way. And whether we like it or not, those people are often making decisions about you before they ever get on a call. So when someone hears you on a podcast, gets your name from a referral, or comes across your content and decides to look you up, what they find when they get to your website really does matter.
Your website should do more than just sit there and look pretty. It should help your right-fit clients choose you over the dozens of other options they could hire, so they go from “I’ve heard good things about you” to “I’d like to work with you.”
I’m Melissa Mackey, web designer + messaging strategist and founder of the C3 Framework.
I found my love of design by accident and originally taught myself web design. I have since worked to develop and improve those skills and learn the web design, brand, and messaging strategies that drive conversion.
Over the years, I’ve worked with coaches, consultants, therapists, course creators, and service providers who were being invited onto podcasts, referred by past clients, and recommended by colleagues, but weren’t confident about sending people to their website.
What I noticed was that most website projects just focused on the design. But when the messaging isn’t clear, a new design doesn’t solve much. It just gives the same problem a prettier wrapper.
That’s why every project I take on starts with messaging, positioning, and website strategy before we ever touch the copy or design.

A few things to know about me
The human behind the web designer and messaging strategist
I was a special education teacher in my past life.
Which is probably part of why I care so much about messaging clarity. Explaining complex things in a way people can actually understand was my job for a long time.
I’ve got two sweet (and just a little sassy) daughters.
Which means there’s a good chance you’ll find me at a softball game, helping with homework, or reheating the same cup of coffee for the third time.
Coffee is basically a supporting character in my business.
I find that most strategy sessions, brainstorming, and good ideas start with a fresh cup of coffee and a conversation.

I was diagnosed with ADHD at 36.
Suddenly a whole lot of things made sense … like the 137 browser tabs I have open at all times and why I could spend hours hyper-focusing on a website project while simultaneously forgetting to eat lunch.
My faith is a big part of who I am.
It shapes how I show up, how I treat people, and the kind of business I want to build, one that’s based in integrity, service, and caring well for the people I work with.
I care more about whether your website is effective than just whether it’s trendy.
If those two things happen to overlap, great. Your website can and should look amazing … but I won’t sacrifice clarity for aesthetics.
Ready to stop apologizing for your website?
Whether you’re ready for a complete website transformation or want to start by refining your messaging, I’d love to help you figure out the best next step.
